Spatial BIM, LLC is a company based in Norway, Iowa. We provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design Construction (VDC) services to improve collaboration between the design, construction, and operation teams. We utilize state of the art technology and innovative best practices to develop sustainable MEP designs for mechanical and plumbing systems.

Job Description

We are seeking a BIM Designer to join our growing team. As a BIM Designer, you play a crucial role in creating detailed and constructable construction documents to support our customer needs in the MEP industry. 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Work with software technology (primarily Autodesk Revit) to perform the following duties:

· Review project plans, specifications, and project standards to create accurate 3D model designs.

· Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance with project plans.

· Coordinate and work closely with project trade partners to ensure all systems are coordinated.

· Attend project meetings to coordinate and provide input to ensure high quality and constructable designs.

· Work closely with internal and external teams to develop fabrication and install drawings for projects.

· Provide technical support to project teams and field personnel as needed.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Education Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 5+ Years of Field Experience

· Knowledgeable and strong understanding of Mechanical and/or Plumbing code and regulations.

· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team environment.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.

· Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software is a plus. Willing to train the right person.

Work Environment and Location

· Must be able to work in high pressure situations facing strict deadlines.

· This position has the option to be in person, hybrid, or fully remote depending on location and experience.

· Most hours will be in the office, but some trips to job sites and customer locations are required.
